Glucose Monitor Sensors

Patients who wear a continuous glucose monitor system such as Dexcom or FreeStyle Libre will be required to remove the device before having a DEXA, CT Scan, SmartMamm® (Mammogram), MRI, PET/CT or X-ray exam. The monitor’s sensor can be damaged during these exams, which could cause incorrect readings.

Your device manufacturer can be contacted for a replacement. Often they will provide one free of charge. Please note: you will need to provide the sensor information for your current device, which is located within the app on your cellular device.
